Certification and Compliance
Our products are designed and manufactured in compliance with current European standards, thus guaranteeing full compliance with current requirements.
The tests are produced in-house in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on "medical devices" and standard NF EN 21856/2022 "assistive products".
The test protocol frames:
- general product design aspects (dimensions, ergonomics, aesthetics)
- degradation related to the environment of use (corrosion, temperature, UV exposure),
- the concepts of mechanical strength with safety factors for seats (static tests, dynamic tests, impact tests)
- surface biocompatibility,
- the creation of a complete technical file (user manual, labels, plans, material certificates, risk analysis).
Our mechanical tests are carried out in our testing laboratory to ensure that the product complies with a protocol. The values obtained during the tests are carried out on a certified test bench, which evaluates the permissible load of the product.
The first protocol measures the static strength of the product, ensuring that it does not break, crack, loosen or deform. The second protocol tests a higher reference load by ensuring that there is no breakage, cracking, or loosening, but tolerating acceptable deformation that does not disrupt the function of the product.
It is important to note that the validation of our allowable loads remains below the maximum loads supported, in order to guarantee the compliance of the product in terms of functionality and safety.
We comply with the European standard NF EN 21856/2022 "Assistive products".
This standard requires that we apply a load equivalent to 1.5 times the manufacturer's declared maximum rated load for a period of 60 to 70 seconds in the worst-case position.
So, if a bar is designed to support a maximum load of 150 kg, it has actually been tested with a load of 225 kg.
At Pellet ASC, we test our products with a safety factor of more than 1.5 to ensure our users have optimal safety and quality products.
